Just got done installing this on my 2017 Octane. First off it looks great. It is solid with smooth welds and is exactly what you see pictured. I knocked off one star because I was advised this only required one screw to be removed for placing it on and off for cleaning. While this is technically accurate as it only has one screw (two other free floating brackets) that holds it in place, you really cannot install this without removing the fairing/windscreen. This took about 1/2 hour start to finish. Part of the time on the install was breaking free the overtightened factory bolts carefully so as not to scuff any paint, I believe it will go quicker next time. I also wish the brackets had even a small amount of padding to stop them from chipping the lens mount paint when they were tightened, but I think I am happy enough with the look that I will not likely go back to the original look.

The guard looks fantastic! Fitment was a huge pain. Having only 3 little clips, figured it would be easy. There was very little give which resulted in using a different screw to get everything buttoned up. Definitely not worth $50+ especially with the fitment frustration, but it does add a little extra to the bike.
